OTH Tours in partnership with Sydney Spokes are making available a limited number of places in the Sydney Spokes Invitational Tour 2008. Based in the beachside suburb of Henley participants will be well placed for some great cycling away from the hustle and bustle of Sydney. Enjoy the variety that is the Adelaide precincts of art, culture, architecture, culinary delights and more.

The SSI Tour 2008 is an 8-day journey around Adelaide and the local countryside. You will stay in relaxed and comfortable twin share accommodation across the road from Henley Beach, enjoying cafes and restaurants in the evening while riding the local areas in the day. It is around the Adelaide city and hills where the professional cycling Pro Tour – Tour Down Under - visits each January and where you get your opportunity to ride similar roads. We are not as ambitious as the professionals, but the Adelaide coast — and nearby upland areas — offer some not-to-be-missed spots to see the countryside from the seat of your bike.

As well as riding our bikes, we visit the Barossa Valley wine region for an opportunity to sample local wines and relax with a catered lunch at select wineries. Take this opportunity to purchase cellar door wines or just enjoy the samples.

Adelaide is home to many of South Australia's important icons of education, medicine, the arts, culture and commerce. Take time out to explore museums, the Art Gallery, memorials, statues, historic buildings, the City Skate Park, the Lion Arts Centre, the Jam Factory studios and galleries, Sky City inside the grand Adelaide Railway Station, Parliament House, the impressive Boer War statue, State Library, Botanic Gardens, and the National Wine Centre of Australia just to name a few.

 What To Bring

• your bike of course!
• clothing for both warm and cooler days
• sunglasses, sun block, chamois cream (highly recommended)
• appropriate cycling clothing, including helmet
• comfortable leisure clothing
• a sense of challenge and adventure!

When out on the road it is advised to carry a small repair kit to fix punctures or any other minor repair that may occur. We strongly recommend a thorough, professional tune-up for your bike before you commence your trip.
